Normandie Hotel Puerto Rico
Dating from 1939, the Normandie Hotel Puerto Rico is built in an Art Deco style that reminds you of those far off days when transatlantic travel meant an ocean liners - the design is even said to be inspired by a liner named Le Normandie.
Conveniently located between Old San Juan and the Condado business district, the Normandie overlooks the Atlantic and has access to a small beach. Although it is not as extensive as Isla Verde, the larger Escambron beach is within close proximity.
The reasonably sized rooms are designed with the modern traveler in mind - they include hi-speed internet access, a safe, CD player, fridge and custom designed furniture, but retain the feeling of that lost age.
Other facilities include an outdoor pool, a gym and a spa, while the the restaurant serves Caribbean and International cuisine.
